Laura Marie Byrne and Michal Carlyle Cieraszynski were united in the sacrament of holy matrimony on Aug. 18, 2007, at Holy Family Church in Ashland by Father John P. Noe.Mrs. Cieraszynski is the daughter of Thomas and Deborah Byrne of Ashland.Mr. Cieraszynski is the son of Virginia Cieraszynski of Princess and Mike and Carol Cieraszynski of Ashland. He is the grandson of Ella Cieraszynski of Ashland.The bride was presented by both her parents.Matron of honor was Bridget Critchfield of Ashland, sister of the bride.Bridesmaids were Brittany Clarke of Lexington, Alba Hall of Blacksburg, Va., Brittany Jones of Fort Thomas, Jessica Patrick of Wurtland, cousin of the bride, and Anne Marie Zando of Columbus, cousin of the groom.Erin Rouse of Ashland, niece of the bride, served as flower girl.Best man was Eric Morrison of Lexington.Groomsmen were Kevin Akers of Winchester, Christopher Byrne of Roanoke, Va., brother of the bride, Chad Hall of Blacksburg, Va., Quoe Nguyen of Baltimore, Md., and Robert Zando of Columbus, cousin of the groom.Ushers were Jimmy Nichols of Bellevue and Randy Pratt of Ashland.Jacob Wilkerson of Georgetown, cousin of the groom, served as ring bearer.Guestbook attendants were Marilyn Patrick, the bride’s godmother, Rebecca Patrick, cousin of the bride, both of Wurtland, and Kristy Salvato of Lexington.Gift bearers were Joan Sellers of Loveland, Ohio, aunt of the bride, and Marlene Zando of Cincinnati, aunt of the groom.Readers were Brian Sellers of Cincinnati, cousin of the bride, Paul Olsen of Roanoke and Katie Sellers of Boston, Mass., cousin of the bride.Extraordinary ministers were Christopher Byrne of Roanoke and Kevin Sellers of Covington, cousin of the bride.Altar servers were Aimee Johnson and Kayla Johnson, both of Russell.Music was provided by Greg Collinsworth and Kathy Large, soloists; Julie Johnson, organist; Scott King, violinist; David Salas, trumpet; and Amy Sellers, flautist.A reception dinner followed the nuptial mass at the Bellefonte Country Club.Mr. and Mrs. Cieraszynski are third-year medical students at the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Va. Mrs. Cieraszynski is a 2001 graduate of Paul G. Blazer High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a BS degree in psychology.Mr. Cieraszynski is a 2000 graduate of Paul G. Blazer High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a BS degree in biology and psychology.The couple honeymooned in the Bahamas and they are residing in Blacksburg.
